Default Fox k member spacers

Anyone have a schematic/blue print for k member spacers? I need a 1/2" more clearance. I don't want to buy an over priced kit. 4 pieces of aluminum and a few bolts are not worth 100.00+.

Turbo clearance. I recently installed a tc78 and I want more clearance between the turbine and the hood.

The chunks of aluminum needed aren't that cheap so $100 isn't bad IMO

My buddy made mine and they weren't a "cheap" part for sure.

I think you could make the spacers pretty easily with some 1/2" steel bar stock (the same width as the K member flanges) and a transfer punch the correct diameter for the bolt holes.

You will probably have $60 in materials by the time you are done though.
Four new grade 8 k-member bolts are going to be $10
Four new grade 8 rear mounting tab bolts are going to be $4
Three feet of 1/2" by about 2.5" hot rolled steel bar stock will be $30
Plus shipping if you don't get it local

These are all retail prices, maybe you can find them cheaper.

I've seen aluminum bar stock go pretty cheap on ebay. I.can get 3/8" steel or 1/2" all day at work. I'd rather have it made from aluminum for the weight savings I found a diagram online that shows the bolt size and spacing.

Look at the threads of the bolts U have in there now. If there is more than 1" sticking past the nuts, they shouldl be fine. When a bolt sticks through the nut more than the diameter of the bolt, that is the max clamping U will get. Having 2 inches more thread past won't make it stronger; just weigh more.

I think the factory bolts are long enough for a 1/2" spacer

I got a deposit on the car and the new owner wanted a few things changed (at his cost) So I'm working on getting the tc78 to fit a little better before he picks her up.
