Default Clutch choice for LS2/T56

So I have an LS2/T56 combo out of an '05 GTO transplanted into a 1966 Chevy truck with 1993 Corvette front and rear suspension in a custom tubular chassis. It appears the OEM GTO clutch is 12" but that is for roughly a 3800lb car. My project will be in the neighborhood of 2900lbs and I'm going for a road race setup so I want to keep flywheel weight/rotating mass down. Stock hp is 400 and in the future I may take it to 500 max. I've looked at the LS7 assembly but 57lbs is a lot heavier than the OEM GTO at 8lbs lighter plus the Monster 12" with an 18lb flywheel seems like a better choice for the weight. Also, since I'm going to change all the plumbing for the slave cylinder can I just get the F body replacement instead of spending the extra cash on the GTO unit?

Thanks

I went with a ACT light flywheel (14 pounds), and a Spec Stage 2+ clutch with lightweight (more weight drop and rebuildable) pressure plate. My master is a Wilwood, slave is a Spec-provided unit. I also have a remote bleeder.
