Pics or it didn't happen!
Throw us a bone man, some of us are trying to live vicariously through you. I sold my 911 a while back to get my first copy of Solidworks to learn 3D CAD for my family's hot rod shop so I love to watch these builds.

If your involved with a Hot Rod shop then you know some small items can slow a build down!
I had received the FAST intake a month ago and keep getting the wrong fuel rails (still another week away from getting them) but we are planning on installing the motor again this weekend. Gathering up the rest of the parts needed to finish this project and then it go's to get the exhaust fitted (LS7 SS manifolds). We will also use the LS4 coil packs and brackets off a 07' impala SS to give us more space in the compartment (as seen in the picture!).

Drive-by-wire
Posting update......
I know it's been awhile, but project is moving forward now.
I set-up a drive-by-wire LSx truck pedal from a newer Chevy truck and adapted it to fit with the Porsche pedal looking factory.....Pictures attached!
Used double rollers on the cut up GM unit and notched the Porsche pedal assembly..... put a SS plate behind the pedal for the rollers to slide on, but still used the original mounting hardware.
Should work very nicely!

Exhaust time!
The project is now steadily moving forward........I have now sent the car up to Agawam Mass. to get the custom exhaust made for this beast of a motor and the guys at Cotton Performance (Brian and Jack) have agreed to take on this challenge. Attached are a couple pictures of the rear crossover being boxed and braced before exhaust gets installed.

As you can see there is an ATI balancer set on the motor and Brandon Furches is working on the harness and accessories before we try to start it.
Looks like everything is starting to fall into place and shouldn't take long now!
I will post pictures as soon as he gets the pipes up.

sheesh, more car ****. Subscribed! I find my self looking at all kinds of old cars wondering what my next LS swap project is. Mindy you I have two in the works that aren't even done yet, hell only one is actually started. I've always wanted a Porsche.

This motor had a cracked sleeve which is not as common but did make it smoke a bit. So I fell upon a sweet deal and decided to have some LS fun!

pretty much any Porsche 911 build will be In the 20k-40k range. will also depend on your goals and performance you want. 20k side if you build it all yourself labor wise and just buy the parts, 40k side if you pay to have it done turnkey.

Exhaust is done!
Just had the exhaust done at Cotton Performance (3" stainless)pictures attached. The look is as close to stock as he could get it, but it will sound a lot louder....the way it should! The system is hanging from stock iron manifolds with V-band connection.
Next part is the harness install and the custom air filter intake.
Updates will come quicker now.
