Default Vararam on a Chevelle

I want to use the GTO Vararam setup on my 70 chevelle. QUEST4-10S has already done this in this post:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...w-vararam.html

I have emailed him but need to order this ASAP.
What size/length is that flexible hose and where can i get it from? I have looked in Summit for a 3.5 in flex hose and cant find one. Anyone have any input on this as i want to order this now.

thanks

+1 on the Bellow.. send me $5 postage and I'll send you one..LOL.

Yeah. I would question the IAT reading being right behind/above the Radiator.. maybe put something to block the heat. Doesn't seem to be the best place for it..

I really just hate the 90* elbow on mine and it reads 10-15* over ambient and sometimes hotter in summer.

If you want it, we can work it out. But lets make sure it is what you need.. from the picture, it does look like a standard 4th Gen F-body bellow.. this would make it a 4" on the Throttle body side and 3 1/2" on the other side (usually to the MAF). So, measure your TB opening and either the MAF or Air Filter Flange. If they are the correct size. .let me know.. and I can check USPS shipping fee.. He is using a LS3.. not sure what the TB opening size would be.. anyone ?

I am sure many of the Local JY would have many just laying around or some guys who have parted out cars or have updated there cars with aftermarket CAI would have one. Check with your local guys also!

But let me know if you want the one that I have..

Also.. I took a closer look a the picture. He does have a nice heat shield setup.. so..as long as he is getting good air flow.. it might work out for the IAT readings..

i have a LS3 intake as well with a Nick Williams Throttle Body. I believe he is using a insert if the TB side is 4 inch. The Kit for the Vararam GTO comes with it. So these measurements of yours check out. Let me know about payment I will get it to you the instant you send me the info.

yes bczee i have seen that before. Is that yours? If so you need to send it to me ASAP! Or send me all the parts you used. I think i found the forum where it listed all the tubes but they were all discontinued. Whoever it is said they were going to make one out of aluminum. OK so send that one to me NOW! I PAY YOU!

The F-Body (98-02) only has these numbers. I don't think they are part numbers. but anything you find should work as long as the inlet/outlet are the correct size and it is the correct lenght.

26170369 26170358ASH

IAGXP.. yeah.. only one manufactor that has ever produced it.. and he is to lazy to make one for anyone else.. (sorry, that would be me LOL) ...

Sorry, been finishing up some other odds and ends on my build. Got it fired up for the first time on Thursday.

Heres the Vararam:

You must either cut off the 90 degree part or bend it flat by heating it:

The unit sits like this:

I didnt take a pic of it with the filter, but you can use your imaginations until i get one up.
