sounds like he has his top of the line service still going at dirty dingo .

I had nothing but problems with him also on a simple set of motor mounts .

hope you get the problem solved . and get better results with D.D. 's service .

I have been looking at all of these and the Holley bracket setups make the most sense and looks the best engineered to me.....

time will tell I guess after I get mine installed

I am doing the 20-134 AC bracket only and 21-3 fitment kit and going to mount one of the two different Sanden compressors allowed.....

once I figure out which Sanden compressor I should use.....

SD5 or SD7....

What do Y'all suggest? This is going in a fairly large SUV.... Go with the bigger SD5?

Did you use your holley bracket on a c1500?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, Has anyone ever used the Alan Grove A/C brackets? I'm looking at the low mount Sanden bracket. Any thoughts?

Kind of a late response, but this kit fits perfect. Very high quality, IMO. Looks to be cut with laser or water jet, very smooth cuts with TIG welded construction.

Just wanted to put it my .02. I have and r4 dirty dingo on my 5.3 nothing but problems from day 1. The concept of the bracket is very good I like the construction and all. The problem is the bracket assembly is toooooo flimsy. I observed the operation of my comp this weekend because I'm so tired of the horrendous noise it make. I came to realize the bracket allows .060" of flex!!! I believe this is due to the stack up of spacers and bolts. I'm tig welding gussets to the bracket and I plan on machining a riser block to mount it to so I can eliminate the spacers. I believe the material of the bracket is 6061.

it is at least partially due to lack of triangulation. Look at the OEM steel support brackets on a 92 Camaro. Those have leverage and more control further out than yourTIG work will.

Hope I'm not late to the party! I'm trying to collect info on my 89 C1500 LSX swap.....

I believe that the AC system on my 89 truck is a standalone system. Not computer controlled? I want to run my old AC compressor from the truck. This is using the R4 compressor. Option 1: From what I can tell Holley makes a good setup for this (https://www.holley.com/products/acce...y/parts/20-133 ) They have 3 options of brackets! (would have to wait until I actually get my LS engine before I could purchase this) Option 2: LS Brackets (http://lsbrackets.com/category/ac-brackets/) unclear on different pulley setups, but seems from their info their kits are designed to work on truck LS engines. Option 3: DirtyDingo (http://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/produ...oducts_id=1378) which also seems to be designed to work on the truck pulley drive system.

DirtyD has been talked over (not sounding too great)... The Holley sounds "Not Bad"... anyone used the lsbrackets.com setup?

The Holley brackets are the way to go. They have the spacer setup for any of the offsets and they are a well engineered bracket from cast aluminum rather then the flat-stock type brackets with a baggie full of spacers.

Default Dirty Dingo did me Dirty

Dont use this unless you want to Fabricate. Nothing but issues and zero support. It is a pretty piece to look at. Belt keeps jumping off. I will have to eventually change it out.
