holley bracket worked great for me. how did you measure for your belt? is it possible the belt is too long? there is an indicator cast into the factory tensioner that will show you if its not the right belt(the marks wont line up)

I have the dirty dingo and it works perfect. I know depending an you a/c compressor pulley there is 3 different belt sizes that you can choose from. I have mine on a 1992 1500 pickup.

Went thu the squeek BS w/ the Kwik brkt. [Belt changes, idler shimming, etc, all to no avail.] Then, I found that GM had issues w/ the pulley location on the PS pump, that was the real culprit.
I measured the pulley location, and found it to be 3/32" too far off the end of the shaft. Pressed it flush.. Issue solved.

May or may not work for you.

Is the A/C system properly charged? If its cool and not cold while driving, and the belt isn't slipping a whole lot, then you have an A/C problem. Have you checked pressures?

It's really not the bracket that causes the squeaking. The toughest squeak to find is caused by the pulleys and accessories not lining up. So the edge of the serpentine belt ends up making all the noise. Make sure everything is lined up perfectly with your crank.

Put a GOODYEAR GATORBACK belt on it and that will be the end of the squeak. I have been using them for years on any make, any model or any application that squeaks for no apparent reason. I have never had a Gatorback squeak---ever.
