The turbos are CX racing brand and have been perfect no problems at all.. This motor started as a 4.8 but the 5.3 and 4.8 blocks are the same.

The last one of those dual fuel pumps lasted 38 miles. Both pumps failed and we had to trailer the car back to the shop. Not going to use any of those again at any price.

So the bore on the blocks are the same just different cranks? Sorry if these are stupid question im just learning about the ls motors. I was thinking about boring my block out to run the same size pistons as the 5.7 would this work or would the cylinder walls be to thin for boost ? And what cam do you have in it ? Cuz I read on here the you got a 3400 stall and u said u were blowing through your stall

Ive ran three of the Dominator pumps with race fuel, methonal and E85 and never had a problem.

Yeah 4.8 and 5.3 have the same bore. 4.8 has a shorter stroke and longer rods same pistons. Lots of companies over bore 4.8/5.3 blocks to build Iron ls1's and the cam is a 287XER comp. The converter is a Billet Revmax built for this setup it works great at 16psi but over 23 thats a different story.

Did you go with the T3 or T4 hot side? Is there much lag (open for interpretation, but still worth asking) having twin 61's on a relatively small displacement? Any details on the FMIC and how it performs? Great build. Keep the pics coming.

Thanks..
They are T4 .68ar 62mm turbine. As far as lag... The cam im running has alot to do with it but i have full boost by 4500rpm. Boost with a setup like this is like hitting a light switch its not really their but when it hits then you better hold on cause it instantly goes to whatever im set at be it 16psi or 23psi ect. As far as the intercooler it has two 2.5" inlets and a 3" outlet. I dont log temps but it seems to do a good job.

Here are the turbos.

Well I finished and installed the rear a month ago. Took the old girl out for a test drive, well a mile from the shop shot a rod out the bottom.. Put in a new motor I built for my drag car since its not ready yet, belt flew off in traffic overheated it and torched #7 piston. Motor hit 300 deg. Having some crappy luck this spring I guess.. lol

On a brighter note I had a Harley sitting around so I chopped it up and painted it to match the C10.
