WOW no freaking way that motor lost 80+ hp going with full exhaust.
Who did you have tune it ?
Did you make any other changes besides full exhaust ?
what dyno is that on ?
I think my jaw hit the floor when I saw those numbers

Really nice work.
I have been driving my LS1 powered IS250 for a few months now and I am still troubleshooting a few problems. The biggest problem is the BUCKING, it's so annoying. I have been driving a stick for years and it makes me feel like I just learned.
Did you fix the problem? I still have my stock rear diff bushings so those are on the list to change but I am also taking my car to the tuner tomorrow. I am hoping he can fix it through tuning and if you have any advice that I can pass forward to him I would appreciate it.

For what it's worth right now I an on a Speed Density tune (no MAF installed). I did just pick up a GM MAF and will be installing/wiring that in soon. I hope that helps with bucking, gas mileage, and running rich/lean due to weather and my exhaust cut out being open or closed.
And thank you, I've been watching your build and you do really nice work too.
Hope that helps and let me know how yours turns out.

So here is where I am with bucking. I agree completely, been driving stick since I was 16 (even earlier on dirt bikes) and I feel like an idiot. The diff bushings helped but didn't solve it. I just had a corvette FPR fail on me and replaced it with an adjustable Aeromotive set at 58psi and that actually helped quite a bit. The next step will me for my tuner to play with timing at low RPM.

Either way, hope this helps. I'll keep you posted. Good luck with the project.

More or less. I still have a drive line "buck" that I think is in the Lexus portion of the setup. And lately I've been dumping coolant through the reservoir and out the overflow...not sure what is causing that.
That being said I am driving it back and forth to work every day and thoroughly enjoying it.

I have the A/C planned out just haven't put it all together yet. The cruise control I've more or less decided not to hook up. I think it could be done fairly easy with a DBW throttle body but since I'm on DBC I would need the GM module and motor (I have it just don't have any room to mount it).

Do your hose splicers have beaded ends to prevent the hose from slipping off?
The reason I ask, is because I have seen a lot of cars lose their coolant. Also, this is a shameless plug for the hose splicers we sell.

Unfortunately no A/C updates. My wife and I have been getting ready for the arrival of our first child in April and that has consumed ALL of my time lately.
On the upside she and I a both agree at the car needs to be done (A/C, MAF, tuning, etc) before we become parents so I have a rapidly approaching deadline to get these loose ends wrapped up.
I did spend a few hours last week finalizing all the OBD2 wiring in the car. When it was tuned there was just a temporary plug wired under the hood.
