Post exhaust system help

im close to finishing my gmc typhoon ls1 swap and im about to plan the exhaust, i want the best performance i can but i dont want it to be really noisy for the street but for the track the cutout will do the job,
so here is my plan, it seems complicated so i need your guy's advice

my shorty headers,
instead of a y pipe,i will use an x pipe to join the collectors on the passenger side,
from the x pipe dual tubes direct to a dual inlet muffler till a single exit tailpipe,or dual exit with the tips pointed to the ground,

my question is i want to put a cutout but where? and i dont want to install dual cutouts either,

i want to install a y pipe that will make it alot easier but if dual 2.5 inch pipes will equal to a 5 inch exhaust then thats a big difference in performance,

please bare with me, its my first project and i would really appreciate your advice, it will be awd so consider that, here are some pics of how the undercarrage looks like (not my car)
