Loving it man!!!!
Still have not started on my 79 Zephyr project, but it is sitting right outside my garage. Just finished up my current project car and the newness has not worn off that one yet. There is some good info in this thread. Thanks for sharing.

tried to take the car to the track Friday night, as soon as I pulled in it started pouring. so went back today and got 3 passes in - trying to figure out what it likes to leave at and such so I can get a little closer to 11.50 for the index class. first pass went 11.45 and I got yelled at for no roll bar lol. 2nd pass left a little higer on the converter and it actually slowed down a lot so final pass I added a little ballast and went 11.49 so I think its good for next weekend as long as I do my job.
side note I sat in the staging lanes for over 3 hours today, so my brother, sister-in-law, and 2 friends took it upon themselves to take a nap in the car lol a true multi-purpose vehicle!

Looks like Island Dragway to me. Duke Snyder is probably still doing the Tech in. Hopefully in about a month I will be there to partake of some fun. By the way nice job on building that Fairmont wagon. Runs good. I also liked your old Malibu although it looks like the Fairmont wagon runs better. Nice ET. Rich

a few updates:
not that im trying to improve the looks of this thing by any means (im trying to leave it as ugly as possible) but last month at the track the reverse light lense fell off. so i did some searching and found a pair of repro lenses(yes someone makes these for some insane reason). so i finally put them on Friday. hopefully they stay on
Saturday i went to the streetcar shootout at cecil to try 11.50index again, first pass went 11.40, 2nd pass I shifted 100rpm earlier and went 11.51 which made me 2nd qualifier. first round I lost because I was comatose on the tree, but did the same thing i did for my 2nd qualifying pass and went 11.56 so i guess im getting there. i also let my buddy run the car in pro-dial (.5 pro tree brackets) and he went a 2 rounds before getting rained out. all in all not a bad day.
and a crappy cellphone video!

Got to say I just read the whole thread and loved it. Keep up the good work. I had a 83 LTD Wagon and wanted to do this but never got the title so I scraped it. but I love wagons.... By the way love the sleeper look with the steel wheels and hub cabs.... Any plans to do a turbo on this ?

as far as a turbo, I don't know. id like to turbo something but this car works well as it is so I don't really want to mess with it too much. I have another car im looking at now and a suburban with a 5.3 im trying to sell - if I cant sell the truck I may yank the motor and part the rest of it out and do something this winter.
