Project "SVT Chevy" now blown!
im not knocking you. love when people do stuff like this and get it done rather than talk about it. the throttle body tube you might wanna make a support bracket that actually bolts on, the welds don't look strong enough and under street driving all the vibration could crack it. wouldn't wanna see this thing get stuck wide open and wrap it up.
second I would have spent a couple more dollars for the holley high ram. you might have been able to make a nicer transition plate for the blower. but once again not knocking, just a couple things I would have done.

the welds on the throttle body tube are actually pretty good. if i remember correctly my buddy also welded on the inside of the tube. but i will take that into consideration.
i went with the vic jr cause 3 reasons. first, i wasnt sure this whole thing was going to work so i figured i didnt wanna spend much on somethign i wasnt sure of. second, this is concept number 1 and we were thinking of cutting this manifold up and building our own manifold that we were goin to try to intergrate a air to water intercooler in it. and third is clearance, honestly i didnt want it stickign out fo the hood as much as it does but thats where it is. i think with the holley itd be alot higher.
i still dont know if ill even be able to drive this without getting hassled by the cops but i guess ill have to wait and see.

lol well once again please don't think I was bashing you. just figured I throw some stuff out there I do this for a living and have seen a lot of projects and figured the hi ram would have made a better manifold setup or the holley short ram, still uses the same plate form for top plate. but once again very creative. but the welds are not that great looking been welding for 20 years and that would never leave my shop. keep up the good work would like to see some dyno numbers.

thanx wasnt takin any offense. yeah he was having kinda an issue with the thickness of the metal from the intake tubing and the flanges. dunno how much aluminum welding he has done but there was no leaks which is all i cared.

thank you sir. got a build thread on your s10? i got pretty much the same truck but its stock, thought about swapping it to a 4.8 or 5.3 mostly just for gas mileage cause the 6 banger drinks gas.

did some more wiring, bolted up my front suspension and threw my roller wheels on. looks like i might need some new springs/ shocks cause the exhaust is pretty much sitting on the ground.

Awesome build man. Your car started off identical to mine. Picked it up for 700 bucks in really good condition. Ill be starting my build (typical 5.3 turbo) build here soon!

mocked up the z06 wheels. looks like with the adapters im looking at the might work. might rub a little if i go lock to lock but it might work.
with suspension compressed:

It'll probably be a little while they've been cutting my hours at work so my check is going to be small. I do have 2 tires I can throw on. Would need to by wheel adapters though. I might just order them.
