here are some pics of cut truck pan to get some measurements. found out f- body pan is only 5inchs top to bottom but the drop out is only 11.5 inches toward front of engine. the ls2 ls3corvette pan is 13.5 inches towards front which is better cause all i will have to do is notch out back for steering rod clearance and a little in the side for steering arm. it also is sumped in the middle which will work great. ill post a pic of the pan im looking for. still no luck on getting this pan. the filter sits alot higher on f body and corvette pan which will give me the clearance for the oil filter re-locator.
Been awhile and a new job change has kept me from getting more done on it but I got oil pan notched and of coarse it needed to be milled then cause the one corner dropped when welded. Have Pan on and it fits good. Have a remote oil filter on the way and shift kit for th400. Gonna try stock converter for now til I get the bugs worked out. Have to do the valve springs next. Get it all back in for good. Also dropped in 8.25 posi rear out of a ex police dodge aspen. It has 2.71 gears in it.lol. Gonna mph like a ****. Ill try and get pics up soon.

Aspen turbo ls for sale now I'm deciding to sell this nearly finished project to fund my ls turbo swap in my 69 camaro ss. Nearly complete. Basically just needs fuel system run and wiring. Driveshaft , etc. 70mm turbo plumbed up all tacked together just needs final welding. Intercooler mounted and plumbed. Willing to sell with stock 4.8l with corvette valve spings, and Siemens 60lb injectors already in and turbo kit custom made for this car. Or would really like to sell as a roller and you put your own ls motor in it and Will include custom made oil pan and custom motor mounts that mount any ls motor perfectly in engine bay and 70mm custom turbo kit with it.
