this car originally was going to get a ls7, which I have. but the modded ls3 makes a conservative 500chp so no need. ls7 isn't stock any longer and would have to run a double or triple clutch disc, which I don't want to do on the street.

the hp to weight ratio in this car is in the Bugatti Veyron territory... serious supercar capabilities.

Veyron is 3.72lbs per hp, this car will be 4.72lbs per hp ith the ls3. if I ran the modded ls7 it would be 3.71lbs per hp. in comparison a new vette z06 is 6.53lbs per hp. you get the idea.

I am going to vent the radiator hot air out and over the front hood, instead of under the car like a lot of other 911 builders. this will cause better high speed downforce instead of causing it to lift like a large wing at speed.

the car has carbon fibre front and rear bumpers, carbon fibre hood, carbon fibre roof skin, and a carbon fibre Carrera whale tail.

Not sure of the effects of getting caught in the rain. Could produce a steam cloud in front of windshield maybe.

never thought of that. not planning on driving it I the rain. but wouldn't say never. it would be at an angle with fans on it so im not sure it would be an issue, but good one to ponder.

post script; factory five gtm supercar also uses this method, as does the ford gt, and several Ferrari race cars, so on.

It would be easier to vent under the car, but ultra high speed runs would not be safe likely. 200+mph

I opted to vent through the hood on my 914/LS1 conversion. The inlet and outlet are fully ducted.

Hey cobalt.

Love your project. I have always been a fan of these cars, and like seeing the V8 swap.

As far as pics. Have you tried photobucket? If you upload your pics there, then copy the link, it looks like this.

Just thought I would throw in a pic of a different swap that pisses people off as a sample.

I'm subscribed.
