Default Mustang vs S10 LS swap

Looking for a project car to throw in the garage. I have a vortec 350 and a few odds and ends, but all that stuff is getting sold and replaced with a junkyard carbed cam only 5.3 and th350 or 700r4, and wont need AC . Ive always wanted a smallblock swapped s10, but I see the Mustang is gaining popularity too. As far as cost of the swap, which one is more expensive? This wont be a DD as I have a new Dart to drive daily. Looking for 12s and something with street manners to take to local cruise ins.

Well from working on my on sbc swapped s10 an working on a few friends mustangs.. The Mustang has alot more room to work on ****, work good at the track, an u can probably find a built up Stang as a roller for a good deal vs. a s10

A mustang is the way to go IMO...and I have an LS1 s10 hahaha. The mustang can be had with an 8.8 rear where a 8.5 s10 rear is rare. The mustang will hook MUCH better at the track.
