I have recently installed a fast intake and cannot run the factory steam lines under the intake and running them above the intake has made the lines the highest point in the cooling system. Any ideas on what to do about this? I got a few ideas with a surge tank from pictures like these.

 

Is it important to run big coolant hoses to the surge tank? Would a inlet for the steam tubes and a inlet for the small hose under the radiator cap and a return to the inlet heater hose work?
