Drag Project - LS1 Altered
Looking at this photo though the engine gets lost, I think it needs a set of twin turbo's

Powerglide went off to the guru's and looks like that the previous owner has had a converter failure and this has sent shrapnel through the box. The gear set was pretty badly chewed up, but somehow the carrier, pump and everything else was still in as new condition.

Got a question for ya though - If you make a 7.99-second run with that once it's done, what does that translate to in American ET???
Taking the ECU to the tuner on Friday for a base tune so I can get it fired up and check for leaks etc prior to heading to the dyno.
So maybe a fireup on Monday/Tuesday!

Throttle body mounted, throttle cable bracket and fittings 95% complete. Will have to fabricate a small extension off the ball joint to reach the throttle body.

Starter motor shimmed up to within tolerences, and right hand side pipes installed. Starter wiring hooked up.

And lastly a test fit of the floor to check it still fits with the new engine plate, and different starter motor and wiring locations
Fixed afew leaks here and there as expected.
However I cannot get the fuel rails to correctly seal against the injectors with 60psi flowing to them!
So have had to order the Edelbrock fuel rails to suit the manifold (was trying to run with a set of generic ones)
The tailshaft is enclosed in a 5mm think alloy tube, and uses couplers rather then uni's. The gearbox is all SFI rated casing etc.
In layman's terms, the transmission is not being connected correctly to the motor and I have no gears.
So out comes the transmission and the converter, to be sent away.
I swear there are things put in this world to test our patience
