Default Fuel pump mounting question

I'm doing an ls swap on my 68 camaro and am going to Run the walbro electric in line pump and corvette filter regulator. I was wondering if the pump and regulator needed to be mounted level or if they would work mounted on an angle?

A slight angle shouldn't hurt anything, but you should try to get it as horizontal as possible. Make sure your pump is gravity fed from the tank.

You also want to do your best to mount the pump BELOW the exit point of the tank. You want gravity to help maintain fuel supply to the pump, and once it reaches the pump, it will carry the fuel up, left, right, down...wherever you need it. But you don't want to risk starving the pump by mounting it above the level of the exit point of the tank. You also should be adding a sump to the tank, or using a fuel cell. You could also try to use a modern pump/tank combo instead of the Walbro. There may be other options but these are the ones I know of.

Yeah I'm using a fuel cell in the trunk. I just got the pump and filter mounted. The pump is vertically probably 8 or 9 inches below the cell. Thanks for the help

No mine is a flat bottom but the advantage to having a cell is the outlet is at the back of the cell at the bottom. When you are under hard acceleration you won't starve the motor for fuel

I was thinking about using a cell on my car but not sure if it would be cheaper to get an efi tank. How much was your cell, gallons?

Im using a 10 gallon cell because that's the biggest that will fit betwee the cage downtubes in the trunk. I think I payed around 250 for it with a sending unit. What kind of car are you working on?

It's a 75 camaro, put a 5.3 in it. Spectra offers an efi tank that's sumped with a sending unit for around $400 shipped or I could with a cell and external pump like you.
