Project DEAD-CAT Turbo 6.0L 4L80e - '99 Jaguar

LQ4 has 39k. miles on it. Forgot to mention I am going to run a flex fuel inline sensor for on-the-fly timing and fuel adjustments. Really pretty simple. Just need to use a flex fuel file for what ever PCM you are running and properly populate the tables and enable the flex obd2 codes. Obviously need to set up correct injector size too. That way I can run any fuel I want and have the PCM immediately adjust for it. No need to run different PCM files or dual anything parts.

Could I even do this with a manual transmission?

More exhaust clearance pics. Truck manifold pointed down and forward on both sides. Likely run a '99 camaro sheetmetal manifold on passenger side pointed up and forward. Definitely going to V-band it all for better sealing.
Passenger side bellhousing downpipe clearance
Driver bellhousing clearance but I wont be running anything down that side of car
Pass side front clearance
Driver frame clearance front
Drivers rear clearance
Another drivers clearance shot
Pass front clearance
Pass rear clearance
Clearanced front sump oilpan. Having this re-done as it was not cleaned as I wanted and the welds are not as pretty as I prefer
Bottom side of 39K mile LQ4
Started on the wiring last night. Will be pretty simple as there are only about 10 wires that actually need connected to the chassis. But as usual I dont take the easy way out. I an completely removing all the unneeded chassis wires to shrink the bundle size coming through the firewall.
Next week is pretty busy (building several Microsquirt and LSx swap harnesses) so I may not have any updates for a little while. Next I plan to finish the harness and detail/scrub the engine/trans. Yah !

I will retain the AC, power steering and alternator for all the creature comforts. May just mount the Ac compressor on passenger head up high to allow for low turbo downpipe fitting and then I wont have to relocate the passenger coils.
BTW flex fuel can be added for just about any of the files in LS1 style red/blue or green/blue PCM's, DBW and DBC and manual trans applications.

I have a blue/green file from a car I worked on and I can see where the AFR can be adjusted by alcohol percent, but I haven't found a red/blue PCM with one in my files. It would be cool to use what I already have on my rolling guinea pig instead of switching to a newer PCM. Any hints on where to look?

I'd love to see what those Brits would say on Top Gear Although I would've like to see this on the XKE version, would be super cool but on the 4 door is real interesting! Not too many would've thought that one but from what you see, you have TONS of room.

I have seen some really fast pieces of crap that are totally insafe above 20mph. I am building it at my pace, safe, reliable and affordable for a family guy. Nothing high dollar or flashy on my cars.
Top Gear guys, bring it on. I love to see American cars beat the crap out of imports.
Started on my chassis wiring today. Removing all un-needed wires. Should not take but a few more minutes to have the chassis wires ready for the merge with the LSx harness.... ha ha ha.
Original engine to radiator clearance

Dang clutter, running out of room to work on my stuff. Guess you can call me a hoarder of sorts. Got 3 80e and 2 60e trans, tons of harnesses and PCM's. Amazing how a 3 car garage can turn into a pathway into the house.
I have another 6.0L coming next week.
Just need to finish another harness for my buddy to get the $.
How many engines can you spy?

I had a '99 XJR that I was going to do this to but decided against. Glad to see someone fulfilling my dream, lol. I'd suggest looking at the XJR rims, they look pretty nice.

The cool part is the jag bolt pattern is same as vette and camaro. One guy on the jag forum installed vette y2k wheels but they were close on the rear suspension. I'd like to use them but will have to find 4 front wheels as the rear vette wheels are way too wide. I have seen sets with crappy tires go for around $500 per set of 4. For now stock is fine with me till I drive it for a bit.
