Buried with harness and tuning work. Got all parts on hand but limited time. Trying to get 30 minutes a day to clean engine and at least get one thing done on it. Installed cam yesterday. I want my engine surgical clean before painting it black. Only going to do it once and correct.

I really hope the OP kept those "jaguar v8" engine covers from the original boat anchor and modifies them to fit on the LSx.

The car is not gone, just 'hibernating' under a protective coating of garage dust. Last week my wife said, we need to finish it so she can drive it. I have the jag beauty covers and will test fit them again but initial review showed they wont fit well. I did get a CTS-V beauty cover that may fit. LSx throttle body to hood clearance is extremely tight. Sad part is all that needs done is to paint and assemble top end of engine. Swap harness, exhaust, motor and trans mounts are all done.

I have been working on tons of other peoples harness, tuning and my buddies '49 and '51 Chevy swap trucks.
