swap into 84 BMW 325e?
i just picked a 2dr up for $250 with a blown motor.
i did some quik measurements one my LS1 in my z28 and on the BMW and it looks it should squeeze in.
Has anyone done this before?
can the IRS stand up to the power or can it be upgraded?
oil pan fitment?
i am looking to dump in a 5.3 or 6.0, auto, and slap a bottle on it to hunt ricers.
any suggestions, good or bad are more than welcome

I think someone around here was working on a 3-series swap. Haven't seen him post in a while though. There was a decent website that I read thru once documenting his project. Try the search button.

Another site w/lots of pictures and explanations on the e30 3 series beamer/LS1 swap is
http://www.personal.kent.edu/~wbainey/BMW.htm
In case this link doesnt work you can find this site off the
http://www.Nash8503.com site; simply click on the Nash8503 link on this thread and as you scroll downward look to the left for the link "Cool Conversions" and you will find the 325 SBC site.
Its not an LS1 into a 325 but an LS1 should be doable if the old school SBC fits...it is definately a tight fit in the old e30
