Default LS1 with LS6 intake - TB upgrade recommended??

I have a 98 ls1, ls6 valley conversion, ls6 intake, ls6 heads, TSP cam/spring/pushrod package, ls7 lifters, ls2 trays, double roller timing, ls6 ported pump. These are the mods thus far, headers to come. I have my tb ready to put on but was going to try and clean it up somehow, then the though of a polished one crossed my mind and now im curious if i should be upgrading it or if i need to...

SO...running this set up:
1 - will the stock LS1 tb mount fine and perform well enough on the LS6?
2 - Or is there a simple, not tooo costly upgrade that is recommended and straight forward?

Your LS1 TB will bolt up fine.

I believe the inlet is the same size on both intakes. A ported/larger TB will help throttle response, but power gains will be minimal without porting the intake to match.

Yes, as noobz stated, you should be good.. on the later (01-02) F-Body.. they had LS6 intakes and the same TB, only difference in the TB was the cable cam was larger in size.

These are the setups I have on my Nova (02 TB) and Chevelle (but with a 99' TB) with both having LS6 intakes.
