Question Gbody floor shifter with 4l60 + b&m cable

The factory cable was too short to use with the 4l60e, original combo was a 305/2004r in my 88 Monte carlo ss. So I ended up buying a 5ft B&m cable to try and use with the factory shifter and trans.

PM me and I will give ya my phone number. I have a 4L80E trans and I used the B&M cable with my stock GN shifter. You just need to do one mod to your stock shifter!!

My El Camino didn't come with stock floor shifter, but I spent a lot of time trying to get a fourth gen F-body shifter to work and failed. I ended up using a B&M shifter because I could make it fit with a (new) stock console. Everything I read on the interweb said that a stock G-body shifter wouldn't work. Not sure how I missed this thread.
