cooling fan
cooling fan Hey Guys I tired of running my cooling fans off manual switches is there a way to run them off the ecm?
I am using 2000 2500 ecm. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and don't see a cooling fan lead that can control the fan.
Both head locations are being used for the ecm and the other is for the gauge. I could tap the water pump and put a thermal switch but seams like a lot of work.

C1 (blue) connector, add a wire to pin 42 for fan 1. C2 (red) connector you should already have a wire for A/C recirculation door, it can control fan 2. These will output a ground to run a fan relay, programming will be necessary to make them function though.
