Belt size for new pulley
Chevelle LS engine swap.
Replacing the truck power steering pulley with a smaller one for steering box clearence. The new one is about 1" smaller in diameter. Any ideas how to figure a new belt length? The original belt is a GM 12576451 that to my best knowledge is 93.5".
Thanks for any help.

The last 3 digits in the belt part number tells you the length. So the dayco part number for your belt is probably 5060935. You probably need one a half inch shorter or so. So go to autozone or equivalent and get a dayco or gatorback 5060930, 5060923 and 5060920, see which one fits then return the other two.

I ran a string like previously mentioned, then went to Auto Zone and they measured with a tool and I got the next size smaller. Worked perfect. Got the right belt on the first try.
