Only some of the 6.0 and larger motors got the rectangle port heads.
The LM7 was put in trucks from 99-07. The L59 was the flexfuel version of the LM7, and the LM4 was the aluminum version. The L33 was the high output version.
Then in 08 started the Gen IV 5.3 engines.
LH6, LY5, LMG, LC9, LH8.....
The LY5 was the replacement for the LM7 and I believe is the most common of the Gen 4 5.3 engines.

The aluminum version of the LY5 was the LH6.
Head casting numbers aren't going to do much identify the engine since most of the used the same heads.
None of the 5.3 engines have EVER used the L92 heads. A lot of them used the 799 heads that were on the L33.

Best thing to do is look the motor over before paying for it. head numbers are on the lower corner of the head, and block size is cast into the back of the block, at least it is on the 4.8/5.3 iron blocks.. When in doubt, take some pics and upload them and the gurus will find this thread like a set of natural big **** in a strip club.. You WILL get some answers QUICK with pictures....
