LS1 Lamborghini Jalpa Runs 9s
So, the Jalpa is a rare car. I get that. But the original 3.5-liter V8 this thing was packing sucked. It only made 255 horsepower. A boosted Golf would out-run it. Admittedly, the Golf wouldn't look half a s cool while doing it, but speed is speed.
For that reason, I can get behind what they've done here. Now it runs 9s, sounds evil, AND looks like the type of car that a mid-eighties drug kingpin would drive. Say hello to my little friend, indeed.

Anyone who argues that this is not a MAJOR improvement to this car? Is just a dumbass. The owner of this car likely has EXPONENTIALLY more pleasure enjoying it, than the other guys who have stockers.
Isn't that what this is all about? Fun times. Money well spent etc.
Build onwards and upwards. LS1 swap everything as far as im concerned

I saw one of these pop on ebay a few years back and I thought about how cool a LS swap. I just didn't have the funds but always thought how cool it would be, And I have to say that car is badass.

Maybe I haven't seen enough Lamborghinis, but I don't think I've ever seen one blow the rear tires off like that! Usually they're just going 150mph, don't see a lot of them at the drag strip.

Wonder what was done to that to make it stand up to the power. And why he decided that would be the best trans for the job. Does Australia not have V8 front wheel drive cars like Impala SS? Looks like the swap would be very similar to a Fiero swap...
