Default 77 c10 lq9....headers

Just swapped my 77 c10 short box with a lq9 6 liter and am looking to put longtube headers. I've been searching but haven't had any luck finding a solid answer. I want to know if there's a header that fits a certain vehicle that would fit into my motor/chassis setup without cutting up the header. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Headers

I used schoenfeld 88-98 Ls swap headers on my 82 with a 6.0/4l60e. I have the engine in the stock sbc location and the headers fit great, pretty sure they only fit 2wd. They tuck in close to the transmission so I had make adjustments to the stock 82 shift linkage. The arm that connects to the rod from the column had to be moved closer to the frame to clear the collector/o2 bung. If your using a cable shifter or manual tranny you won't have to do anything. I think they are around $270 and are 1 3/4". Here's a picture of the stock shift linkage part I'm talking about, i didn't think to take a pic of mine. http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/LS1-TRUCK.htm

I just finished up a set for my C10 yesterday. I snagged up a set of Egay stainless headers (new) for $140 and cut me up. Had to completely cut off the the driver collector and reroute the back two primaries. Also had to cut off the passenger collector to flip the o2 bung 90 degrees so it points up. Looking back I should have just bought the schoenfield headers for $150 more. But mine are stainless so that's a plus.

He mentioned he wants to use longtubes not manifolds. Manifolds are cake. Just notch the passenger frame a bit.

You would be very wrong. Truck longtubes do not fit at all. Not many choices. Fifth gen camaro headers will work with minor modification also.
