Thanks Doug.
Thanks clyde.
I ordered a huge garret intercooler core today. It should fit perfectly in front of the rad support. Being able to put the end tanks where we need them should allow for perfect fitment. I did go a little overkill on the intercooler. It says it will support up to 1k hp.
Havnt been able to get to the shop for any fab stuff. UPS delayed the shipment and so all the downpipe/intercooler pipping should be arriving today. Getting real close to having the hot/cold sides built. Then its on to the fuel side

looks great man.. i have a quick question for you did you fab up your trans crossmember? i know your car was already a 4 speed so im assuming if you fabbed up yours it would be diffrent from a auto crossmember?
i got a 72 and slapping in a 6 speed and just cant figure out what to do about one

yeah. We installed the motor and made mounts. Then mounted the tranny to the engine and bolted the motor mounts in and made the tranny cross member.
From my research, most people flip their oem crossmember around and use it with the slide plate motor mounts.
I wanted one piece solid mounts. Makes me feel secure about myself and motor.

Woot!
Just received my intercooler core. Thing is heavy. Gonna look beautiful in the front of the care.
just need to order my BOV now and ill have everything for the hot/cold side of the turbo, with a 4 foot downpipe. Hopefully that will all be fabbed up by next weekend.
Next is fuel system. eeek.

Thanks guys! It should stay cold as ice!
Hot side is almost all done! crossover is done, down pipe is built, just need waste gate connected.
Danny has amazing skills and is making this build a dream build. I cant wait to get it fired up and driving around.

Thanks cam.
Ordered cold side couples and tbolts. Also ordered Tial Q BOV w a 8mm spring. Thats what was recommended to me.
Crazy to think turbo build is almost done. Need injectors/fuel system next. hoping to buy all that by mid month and then get it all installed. Then hp tuners and it will be fired up!

Saw this in another thread so gonna create a list of things I still need so I have a checklist that I can slowly tackle.
1) Intake manifold - Arrived
2) Throttle body - on car
3) Fuel system - Fuel lines/Fuel pump, regulator + bypass (fuel lines/fuel pump ordered)
4) Injectors 80lbs ordered from FIC (great people to deal with)
5) Hptuners
6) Oil system including oil feed/return lines - ordered from improvedracing
7) Oil for initial start up
8) Boost controller - including all vacuum lines - ordered
9) Wideband - ordered
10) spark plugs + sparkplug wires
11) waterpump - ordered from SDPC on 4/7
12) ATI damper 917303 - ordered
13) fans/shroud - arrived
14) throttle cable/mechanism
15) knock sensors not going to run
16) 4" to 3" silicone adapter for intake
Wow. Creating a list reminds me of how much monies i still need to spend just to get it started. But at least I will be able to conquer this list, hopefully by months end.

what?
lots of updates but havnt uploaded many photos yet.
hot side is done, cold side is done. fuel tank is being modded and fuel lines are being ran. measured them all up Saturday and gonna finish it off next working day.
I had been planning on doing my own wire harness but after much thought + research into tooling + price + stress/headache I have decided to order a harness. Sadly it has a 6 week out time and thats going to be the date for getting the car fired. So in the mean time Ill be getting the rad support powder coated, the drive shaft made, and tackling the rear end.
Ill get photos up soon.

Expensive Hobby
I found this piece of paper thats worth thousands! Maybe not, but pretty cool to find the build sheet.
Sexy.
My father is proud its NASCAR approved
Lots of monies. Fuel parts.
Pre pump filter, pump, post pump filter
Shroud mounted
Had to plumb the steam ports
Lots of little parts (this is enough for 2 LS builds though)
Basic ports
General Idea of steam port setup
FPR, fuel line, and steam ports ran from back to front
Fuel sump being built (borrowed design from a post on here)
