Default C10 Dbw help

What's going on, been doing a little bit of research on dbw conversions and it seems relatively cut and dry. Anyone have any direct experience with the c10 converting it to dbw? Come across a 2010 5.3. Original plan was to score an earlier motor with the dbc.

If ya have any direct info with the c10 conversions please help!! Part #s help lol

Please no keyboard ninjas.

If you can get EVERYTHING from the donor car from pedal to throttle body and the PCM then it's easy. If anything is missing then it will most likely turn into a nightmare finding components that work and the costs go up quickly. If you get everything you could mount the pedal in the bed of the truck if you wanted to and have your buddy sitting on the recliner back there work the throttle while you yell at him thru the sliding back window.

Hahaha that's funny. I mean I realize that it requires getting the whole pedal assembly with the dbw capability and the correct harness. I'm assuming if I had the option of the earlier vs the later due to be easier than go with it? Because there is a shop that sells them all day.

When I swapped my engine it was pretty straight forward, my engine was an 05 so the pedal is probly different. I bolted on the new pedal using the existing holes (had to drill the lower hole) but this made the actual pedal location over the transmission tunnel. So I cut the new pedal's lever about 2" from where it pivots, then welded my old pedal lever (82' c10) to that, now it's in the stock location.

Was the aftermarket pedal harness specific or do most harnesses use the same clip?

Your 2010 engine uses a different PCM and pedal, no tac module. Grab the pigtail from the pedal as far back towards the firewall as you can. You can splice it back to the engine harness easily as it's only a handful of wires and the colors match from the pedal all the way to the PCM.
