1951 Pontiac "Creepin Chieftain" Rat Rod LS 5.3 Truck Turbo Kit Swap(pics)
Well with the help from the guys over at Straightline Performance we are going to whip up a crazy little Rat Rod Cruiser. Wanted to do the whole car on a budget and spend as least as possible. Got a used 5.3 Complete Setup from a Customer of mine that I have an account with, ordered the 60mm ebay turbo with a ebay intercooler that will be done up by Turbo Joe at Straightline. This will be the one time its allowed to look crappy as long as its functional.
Ill keep up with the pics as I go here.
I picked the car up for a G Note as a Roller, it has 88K orginal miles, had a 2nd Gen Front Clip welded on with brand new brakes and master. Came with a Aluminum Radiator and Electric Fan. Ill still need a rear end to shove in and slam the back side. It needed some patching in the floor pan as you will see in the pics but nothing major.
First Pic is what it looked like before he painted it. He also shaved and smoothed all the door handles and frenched the lights.

As you can see in the first pic the mounts wouldnt connect. Well we had to take the clam shell mounts from the frame off and lower them to get the fit which it was in the 2nd pic
