My friend from work has a 95 6 banger camaro. How hard would it be to swap a junkyard ls1 engine and transmission in? What all would need to be updated?

K member, an engine, wiring harness, PCM, transmission, tranny mount/crossmember, all new exhaust, and you'd want new front springs and brakes at the least too.
Thats off the top of my head. I'm sure there's more.

You don't need a new k-member. You do need new motor mounts as well as the rest of the items listed above. Wiring can be a bitch. Probably easier to buy a 98 unless you just really like the 95'.
