I am looking for someone to point me in the right direction. I have a 95 camaro 3.4 and looking to do a 5.3 swap. I have found lt1 to ls1 but not from a v6 to v8.or is the write up going to the be same? And my next question is what is a 5.3 it's not a ls1 what I have read is its a lm7 engine

 

5.3 is a ls base engine. you will need fbody oil pan, accessory drive, mounts, exhaust manifolds/headers and intake for the engine. ls based trans, ls1 k member, rack, rad and fans, and modified wiring harness. Its best to find a donor car or sell your v6 and just buy a ls1 ride. Here's a link that will point you in the direction you want to go.
