Ls3 knock sensor issue in fbody

Hi

I swapped ls3 in my SS so i installed the knock sensors in the sides of block but after two days i check them , they were melt from touching the headers !! So should i relocate them in other place ?? Help plz

Why did you not use the ls3 knock sensors. Contrary to popular belief these can be used with the gen III system. Those sensors have better clearance.

I tried to use it but when i installed the ls1 to ls3 harness adapter i saw the harness fitted with ls1 knock sensor sothat i installed the ls1 knock sensor ! Question : is there harness adapter fit with ls3 sensor ?
