Which LS variant do you plan on running and with what accessory drive set-up? You'll get better advice from guys here if those facts are known.

I think I am going to build a 370" engine with a 6.0 iron block.
Put some GM LS3 or LSA heads on it.
And an Magnacharger I've had sitting around.
Only accessories would be PS, and ALT.

Besides the crossmember mods, g or f-body pedals, bracket for master cylinder, etc, you really need to enlarge the transmission tunnel slightly to keep proper geometry & not have driveline vibration problems. I just slit the top of my tunnel & added a strip of metal back to it.

Everyone will have their different clutch experiences & opinions, my Monster stage 3 with lighter billet flywheel steel has been great.
Also I went with all autometer ultralite gauges including electric speedo when I did the ls1/t-56 swap back in 2002. This was a good upgrade to match the setup.
The one thing about any ls swaps is there are several different ways of fitting & going about each swap issue. There are many more choices now than when I did my swap.
I believe sick speed monte is one of the regulars here with a more recently done swap.

did my stock ls1 and t56 swap using a John Bzdel manual clutch pedal
.http://www.ls7montess.com/

working great so far! hardest part was cutting out the master cylinder hole! as for the crossmember I reused the stock 2004r with the mount redone and the cutout for the dual exhaust.. best mod so far!!

ive used the brp 1 7/8 headers with my swap they use adaptor plates with stock mounts. fit with 1" setback but a little close so I made some 3/4 setback plates for more clearance.

I have a el camino style clutch pedal hanging from the original pedal set in my cutlass, it just has a longer bolt and bushings to connect it and the brake pedal pad is cut down to match the clutch pedal pad. I used the ls1 f-body master and slave cylinder setup and it perfectly comes up through the g-body's factory cruise control hole, you just have to elongate the hole a little at the top. the trans is tight on the floor, you either old school it and beat the hell out of the floor or cut and raise it a little.

He may have. I know that 408 never ran up to its potential.

I used 3rd gen Fbody pedals and modified them to fit the Gbody firewall and hydraulics from a 4th gen Fbody as well. Gforce T56 crossmember, stock Fbody hurst shifter, and BFH mod the transmission tunnel along with 1in setback motor mounts. I am not running 2in headers, but 1-3/4 midlengths (wish I had long tubes)4

Hope the Maggie you intend to run is a TVS2300 with those giant headers, on a 370. Might be overkill for the blower if not.
