4l60e not shifting when in drive?
Like the title says, I can't get my 4l60e to shift up or down while in "D" position.
Here is some info on my build:
1952 Chevy Coupe
5.3 from 06 Silverado with matching 4l60e (unknown mileage)
Reprogrammed PCM and harness from PSI Conversions
I can get the transmission to shift into low, 2 and 3 by manually moving the shifter, but when it is in the "D" position, it just stays in low gear. I have taken it to 3500 rpm and nothing.
I did some searching on here as well as some other places and found that this could be caused by a few things - PCM not programmed for auto trans (PSI part number is specifically for 4l60e & I trust they sent me the right one), no power to trans (just tested pin "E" on harness plug and it gets 12v with IGN on) and bad TSS sensor (Not sure how to test this one...?)
How can I test the TSS sensor? Is there something else that could possibly cause this to happen?
I really hate that I finally got my car running/driving and I can't go over 20mph!!! Thanks in advance for any help.

I would check the pinout on the transmission plug. I seem to recall that there are 2 variations based upon the year of the transmission. It almost sounds like the VSS signal is not being received. Just a guess at this point. Do you see any DTC's?

Wouldn't an LQ4 or LQ9 in a 2500 be backed by a 4L80E? Every one I have seen was but maybe there is an option I don't know about. I know there is a wiring difference between 60's and 80's.
I know this sounds silly, but is the transmission completely full of fluid? Low fluid in a 4L60E can give you some really strange results.

The MiL light is not on, but I have not run a scanner on it to see if there are any stored codes. Fluid is full, but I did find a loose connection on one of my cooler lines that was leaking slightly. I tightened it up and will see if that changes anything. If not, I will get a new TSS sensor and swap it out.
I know the trans is a 4l60e, but since it was from a junkyard it may not have been the original...
