quick dip stick and oil questions Hi All, I'm putting together my swap engine and have a couple of ?s
1, I'm running a GM crate LS3 and a 2 piece batwing oil pan, if I were to reuse the dip stick tube that came with the motor, which dip stick should I use? or would it be better to get the C5 Z06 dip stick tube as well? I"m having a hard time finding the one listed in the oil pan section.
2, How much oil would this configuration run? This is being built for a road course car.

I put a 02 vette batwing pan, dipstick and tube on an LQ9. It took over 8 quarts to get near the correct level as indicated on dipstick. My recommendation is look up the oil capacity, 6 1/2 quarts?, for the batwing pan and mark whatever dipstick you use.
