LSA/Grand National Conversion
#42
Last two weeks have been dedicated to the lines and wiring. Been converting all the power steering and transmission lines to AN fittings.
I did get the tires in and in a pickle on which rears to run. I'll post pics

Should be starting it up in a week. Then off to Rob at Forced Induction Tuning for all the plumbing. That will be about a month project for them, but I will be taking lots of pics...

Update: The Lonnie Diers Extreme transmissions Stage III 4L80E is in. It added a couple week due to having a billet gear set made for the tranny that was the same ratio as the 200R4. I wanted a steeper 1st and 2nd gear.
New shorter drive shaft is in. Had to swap out the shifter shaft on the tranny for a longer one(2007 and up) so I could use the neutral safety and reverse lights switch on the tranny. Been a learning experience, but she is all together. Nick is finishing the last of the pluming and wiring this week and should start it up next week.

I bought the Summit crossmember which is the heavy g-force brand.

Perfect fit. Everything bolted right in and it is a solid crossmember to help stiffen the frame side rails up.

I still have one 335/30 and one 305/35 mounted. Have not put on the car. I did have 325/30-19 on the rear off my corvette and they cleared, but waiting until I get it back from the Turbo shop after the plumbing is done. I'm a few weeks away.
Should be starting her up next weekend.

Forgot to add:
The 325 tire was wider and on a 12" wide wheel. The 335 measures in about 1/4" narrower than the 325 and it is on a 11" wide simmons. The 335 Nitto is just shy of the 325 bridgstone. The 305 M/T is exactly as wide as my 315/35-17 currently on the car. I wish the size of the tire was the actual size of the sire rather than "in the range". Been dealing with this for years with all types of brands. They are never far off, but not spot on.

Thanks for the input! I'm still trying to figure out what will fit the notched frame whithout messing with the wheel tubs i did dolly them on the bottom even with the frame now but the worry is when they sink into the wells! I had planned on 315's on
11" wheels outback though.

The M/T 315/35-17 on 11" wheel should fit with no problems with the correct backspacing. Some cars seem to have the rear end not quite centered. Check both sides. I rolled my fender lips for more clearance.

I cut my fender lips in half and i still need to tweek my rear but that will be no issue i have adjustable upper/lower control arm. Did your 315's sink in the wells nicely and was that before or after the tub mod's?

I like the build and love the car.
I was thinking of doing something similar with an LSA in my SS, or LS9 but then I found this and started to really like this set-up:
