Default new guy needs help. no start

Got a 6.0 out of a 09 Sierra into my 73 Camaro with a t56. Decided to tune it myself. I have HPtuners Pro. Removed vats, starter checks disabled and TCS patch applied. The starter circuit is run by the car totally separate from the PCM. I have power To the injectors and coils but no spark or fuel. Hooked up a scan tool and it had rpm and oil press. It is a new harness from bp automotive with a e38 from the donor. It has a bunch of DTC's. I am a virgin to tuners and prob missed something in the setup. Thanks Jeff.

These are the ones that may be causing problems. p0011 p0014 p0315 p0335 p0336 p0340 p0341 p0685 p0690 p1682 p2176 p2544 p2610 u0073. I know a lot. most are cam and crank sensor related but I had rpm and a cam sensor signal. Maybe it is the pcm but how would know for sure?

Not sure about the codes, but I had the same issue coils had power but would not start. I found I forgot to hook up the ground on the back of the drivers side head. I used a psi harness. Mine was with an 0411 computer.

Check your grounds. Don't ground anything to the back of the heads. I did that on mine and had lots of trouble.

Check your grounds like posted above, and also make sure your crank sensor is plugged in tight. It will start regardless if the cam sensor is even plugged in, but with no signal from the crank it won't. Since you have no fuel it's most likely a ground. Make sure your block is grounded to chassis and chassis is grounded to the car. Also check the ground in the harness that normally grounds at the driverside head.

Sure seems like a lot of codes. I suspect, like others, a bad ground might be the issue. certainly is a common denominator.

Is the PCM well grounded too? I ran a 10 gauge ground from the battery negative to a welded ground stud on the body (I welded it there) and tied the PCM ground to that stud.

I also ran a large engine to chassis ground, it was one of those woven tinned copper ground straps about 11/4" wide. This was sandwiched in to one of the bell housing bolts and attached to a clean grounding point on the frame. I noticed after installing this cable, the engine cranked over much faster.

I also made sure to run a dedicated ground strap between the frame and body to make sure everything was well tied in. It is worth doing all of these things upfront.

All the grounds look good. The most resistance I have is about 2.5 ohms in any of the circuits. One probly dumb question. Does the dtc file in editor only a modifier for the mil and ses light or is it a indicator of a malfunction? I just tried the scanner and it only came up with some evap codes. Still trying to figure this out. waiting on The ultimate tuning guide from don lasota. Hope that helps.

Whatever code you copied into the ECM had the VATS enabled. Disable the VATS and save that version.
