Default throttle body difference?

Whats the difference in the drive by cable ls1 throttle body and the drive by cable truck throttle body other than a couple of hose connection angles?

not all of them, the early ones had drive by cable setups and the body has the same part number as a car throttle body, the only difference i can see is the water fitting on the under side and the pcv hose connection on top.

I think 2002 and earlier trucks had cable. Same TB size and bolt pattern

The cam/lever that the throttle cable hooks to is different. ls1 had a smaller one for faster tip in and steam ports are different. Bolt patterns are the same.

From a mechanical / driveability angle, absolutely nothing.

Some trucks had the larger throttle cam like most F-Bodies which gives a different pedal feel. Some truck throttle bodies had a small hole drilled in the blade, others have a larger hole and others still have a rubber plug in the hole. I think I've even seen one with no hole, but I can't remember.

I've never had a problem interchanging any of them in a swap.

The LS1 throttle cam is larger than the truck throttle cam (with the red spring). A popular swap when you need to shorten the gas pedal throw on your LS1, is to swap it out for the truck TB (did that on mine). I've got photos of the two side-by-side somewhere in my files. '02 and earlier trucks were DBC. Same bolt patterns as LS1.

•There are 2 different mechanical throttle body arms. The photo on the left is the short arm, it can be easily recognized from the round collar. The photo on the right is the long arm, and the collar is straight. You must use either an adjustable throttle cable, or a throttle cable specific to that throttle body for the throttle to open properly.
•There are also 2 basic throttle bodies : car and truck. The difference is the coolant passage for water pump clearance and the breather hose angle (for throttle bracket clearance)
98-99 LS1 Camaro, 99-03 LSx based Truck throttle body. Uses short arm. 00-02 LS1 Camaro throttle body, uses long arm.
