Stainless Y-Pipe swaps??? I have a 6.0 L LQ4 I will be putting into a vintage 50s Chevy truck for daily driving.I will be using Trailblazer SS GM exhaust manifolds that I have,they are tight fitting to the motor and chassis,the LQ4 truck manifolds don't hug things as tight and will not work.
I want to fab a stainless exhaust system,functional,not for show.I'd like to keep my eyes open for a stainless GM Y-pipe and whatever else I can get from a stock stainless exhaust.Yup,I plan to do some cutting,fab and TIG.But if I can get the start on a Y-pipe from a stock piece I'll go from there.
What LS engine Y-pipes will interchange with my Trailblazer SS exhaust manifolds?Yeah,I know,easiest place to start would be a trailblazer SS Y-pipe,but chances are that's not gonna happen,so I'd like to think along the lines of what will bolt up to the manifolds themselves,cut&weld and modify from there.
