Default lower radiator hose

need a lower hose for my 76 skylark(nova body style) with 5.3 swap. Motor end 1 1/2 inside hose diameter. Radiator set up 2000 camaro ls. neck on radiator 1 1/4 inside hose diameter. Got upper hose---gates hose #23027 works great. Its for a 2005 chevy SSR truck with a 6.0. Has the truck water pump bend with long straight with 90 degree bend on end for radiator. WHATS EVERYBODY USING? Thanks

When you say "Radiator set up 2000 camaro ls. neck on radiator 1 1/4 inside hose diameter. " is it some sort of swap radiator or a Camaro4 radiator? I'D TRY A CAMARO4 hose to start with.

radiator is from 98-02 style camaro. Space is tight about 10 inches apart. waterneck is about 1 1/2 higher than radiator nipple. A short flex hose would work but havent found any with 1 1/4 & 1 1/2 inside diameters.

Both the LS and LT engine families should have the same size radiator hoses.

I think some of problem is that radiator probably sits higher in skylark than camaro do to slope of camaro hood. My skylark is higher and boxier front. I also have motor an inch foward. If I can get one end changed to the other size a universal fitting flex hose would work.

I used a 1-1/2" flex hose on mine. I cut an old 1-1/4 hose and made a rubber bushing and installed it on the radiator, then installed the hose. No leaks. You can buy those bushing, but I don't remember where. Mine has been on for over a year and no problems.

I since got it by using 2 parts of different hoses using a metal t to join them. Thanks

IIRC SBC chevy lower hoses are 1 1/4 at pump and 1 1/2 at radiator. 1 1/4 hose will stretch over a 1 1/2 nipple though, but it takes some work to get it on. That's what I'm running on mine. My speedway rad is 1 1/2 lower nipple. Just put a little oil on the nipple and slide it over.
