Need Help With A/C Compressor brackets Can anyone suggest a bracket/compressor combo that would allow me to install the A/C compressor in it's original place but closer to the block on a 98 LS1 out of a firebird. I have about 10.5 inches from center of crank HUB bolt to chassis. I was looking at the late model Silverado brackets and compressor and they seem as they will take less space than the original set up.

If you are looking at the truck brackets, call it 99-06, they are low on the pass side. I don't think the pulley alignment will work with the F-body water pump. I am sure others will weight in as well. I can't really answer on the 07-13 truck.

Alan Grove Components in Kansas makes AC Compressor brackets for the Sanden 508 AC compressor. I am using the low mount passenger side. My kit # is 143R. If you think that will work for you, contact me, because I ended up with an extra bracket that I can sell you for cheap. I had my brackets powdercoated and then misplaced this one and had a to buy another. Of course the day I installed the replacement, I found the original.

C10 5.3 Ls swap with AC compressor I installed dirty dingo adjustable motor mount plates on my 5.3 engine and had to remove the AC bracket and compressor. Does anyone know a way to still use the 5.3 stock AC compressor? I'm planning on installing engine on a 1968 chevy truck. I didn't read the note on dirty dingo pg where it states it will not work with stock AC compressor. This engine is from a 2001 Tahoe and originally has AC compressor on bottom passenger side. Adjustable plates where pricy and I really was not planning on spending money on another AC compressor or brackets. Any ideas or solution will be appreciated.

Bracket Don't quote me but I think I read somewhere that a 96 Silverado ac bracket can be used.
It puts the compressor on top on the passenger side.
I looked into it on my 63 swap but ended up using a different adapter that didn't block the stock compressor location.
My compressor fits perfectly inside where the frame is notched.
