1987 Supra Swap
I'm running a Powerglide behind mine, though. Mine is only used for drag racing, so a manual valve body 'glide with a trans brake was the only real choice!

My question for you is, how is your alternator mount working? I used a one-wire alternator on mine, and it eats alternators like crazy. I actually had to mount mine backwards, but I see that you have yours mounted correctly. Does it clear the hood? I have a 4" cowl hood, but if yours clears the stock hood, it should clear mine.
I would appreciate any info you could pass along about how you worked out the alternator mount.
Good luck with the build.

Looking for some dirt cheap intake elbows-go to your local woodworking tool shop and check out the dust collection selection, this one was about six bucks

Lots of room back here,it does get real tight at the top of the trans

Autometer adapter,1/8" NPT 45,Toyota sender

Chopped trans dipstick tube and stick just clears, whizzy intake bolts from Fastenal

Get out the cut-out wheel

Crap, shoulda took a pic before I cut the bracket, 1995ish truck alternator looks like it will clear hood by eyeball,I better throw the hood on because we all know how things magically don't clear even after measuring and checking several times

Had to move over to another quickie project to make some fast cash, might not be any progress for a week or two,but will try to snap some more pics and provide some more answers for those followng along.
check out my build over at supramania, Im doing an lm7 into my 89

My engine is solid mounted, which makes it a bit easier I guess, but engine mounts were no big deal to make. Trans mount was simply a piece welded onto the existing trans crossmember. Headers can be tricky due to the shape needed. I used a set of Schoenfeld dirt track headers for a SBC for the bottom half, and a box of bends to fab the top half of the headers. They are 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" stepped headers.
I changed to a one-piece drive shaft, but that was easy. Use the end that bolts to the diff, and the tube will slide right into a Chevy driveshaft. I think mine came from a Camaro or truck. Not sure.
Now, since mine is a supercharged setup, it required a little more work for the charge pipes and intercooler mounting, but nothing serious. N/A eliminates all of that part.
I used the Holley HP ECU, and it came with all the required wiring harness. Made the wiring super easy.
Good luck. It's a fun swap, and nobody expects to see a big-cubic-inch, supercharged LS3 in a Supra. Mine gets a LOT of attention at the drag strip.

Not a big fan of pusher set-ups,but we'll give it a try.

Everyone' favourite part, where do all these wires go?

Found a hose hanging at the parts store, cutting another one in half will work for the upper as well.

Hard to find fittings locally for the vette reg/filter to adapt to the Toyota metric lines,so had to get creative,a tig welder would be handy for this type of work.

Sometimes cheaping out and taking chances pays off, other times it bites you in the ***!
Grabbed a 2005 6.0 from a rolled logger's truck,muddy but relatively low kms.

I'm surprised by how quick and easy it is to R&R the engine in this thing, nothing to it.

I kinda knew the stock rad wouldn't be up to the task, but had to try.Good thing I had an old rad lying around from my circle track days, keeps it nice and cool this time of year, but should move up to a better fan in warmer weather.

Re-purposed some old aluminum from my last race car

Runs, drives, lights up the rear tires at will. With the exception of the speedo, gauges work, heat but no a/c,all other power accessories function.
Still working through a few kinks, need to pull the driveshaft and have it balanced, also have to pull the PS pump and shim the valve some more and tweak a few things around with EFILive.Sunny, dry days are in short supply this time of year on a rainy island in the Pacific Northwest, hopefully can do some more tire burning this weekend.
