ls1 harness how to protect the wires Hy all
GM is originally using a corrugated tube for protecting the wires.
Sorry but i am not sure how u call it in english.....i mean those black flexibel plastice tubes...
My english translater calls it "corrugated tube"
So after i have stripped the harness....i want to use the same tube, but i am just wondering if the sharp edge (where the tube is slotted) wont hurt the where the cables come out of the harness.... ???
Of course i have tapped the cables before i put it in the tubes... but i guess of all the vibratons of the engine the sharp edge will cut it through...

It's called "split loom", and GM uses it without any problems. Usually the wires are wrapped in friction tape where the wires would come out of it, and also wrapped around it to keep it from moving/rubbing. I suppose anything could happen given enough time, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
