I think your modified pan will fit a nova by looks of it. I used a muscle car pan but I should have modified truck pan I had. Too low for me after I spaced up motor to clear my front steer tie rod ends. My steering clears. truck intake clears hood, but not happy with pan 1 1/2 below cross member.

you probably want to use dorman 300-130 if have truck pump. if not you need to know shaft size for figuring out what pulley to use.

How far off was the truck pan from working for you? It looks pretty dang good from the pics as far as construction... I was hoping to get away with the same thing, modified truck pan in the 72 Chevelle I'm going to be putting a 6.0 in. How much do you want for it?

put the pan on ebay, somebody will buy it. If I do anything with mine I will probably do what you did cutting it up. I have my motor set foward as far I could go. So that said is why I would cut mine(muscle car pan). I have L33 5.3/4L65E in mine.

Every time I pull the engine I have to move it to the bay where I park my truck and its a PITA as the driveway has 2" of ice & snow - I could have made it work but it's just a long process with moving the car. Truck won't fit in the other bay.

OK, I hopefully got the motor in for the last time - I used a 302-2 pan and I am telling you, The factory couldn't have designed it better - Fits perfect. Excellent ground clearance, Tie rods clear and I was able to get it in the car over the x-member with the trans on it. I am using 1" setback mounts and it has just enough room for the trans dipstick with a slight bend to get it closer to the head. I could not be happier with that Holley pan, Great job on the design. Here are a few pics. The tie rod pics are at full lock.

would the factory steering box clear? Or is the grand cherokee box the way to go? I remeber years ago people were swapping to them but wasnt sure as to why.

The Grand Cherokee box is a direct bolt on swap. The two boxes are identical with the exception of the GC box is a much quicker ratio so it feels like a newer car and it's nice that the lines are already metric for LS swaps.
