So I added a sump to the Mustang tank so I have a place to hook up a fuel pump. Had to pie cut the sump and bend it in the middle to make it match the tank.
Nothing huge. Ended up cutting the frame rails to fit the tank. Bought a rear end shortening jig. Then ended up finding a rear end 1/2 wider than how much I wanted to shorten one. It will stay that length. I cleaned up the nasty cuts from where the previous owner cut the lead perches off. We also steam cleaned the inside so it can go to a sandblasted to clean the outside. Lately, I've been trying to find a way to fund this. I left the body shop cause of a crappy situation. I have been playing with my welding table so I can possibly start fabrication more stuff to possibly sell. Thinking about making engine limiters and traction bars.
Also ended up buying some engine limiters from Innovative Racecraft. Honestly don't think I could make them for as cheap as they sell them. I'm currently also looking at getting a mill and lathe with my dad. I'd like to have a pretty well equipped shop. I don't want to have to borrow a lathe or mill or have to wait on a machine shop. Other than that nothing much has changed.
Not much of a truck update but a little bit of an update none the less. Since I'm out of work I've been thinking about maybe starting my own fabricating business. Maybe make some parts like traction bars for truck pulling guys or stuff like that. I've also been thinking of starting a Youtube page to make some extra money. I've been practicing a bunch of tube to tube welding. I don't want to put anything on Youtube or anyone's truck with out it being at least decent. We also ended up getting a lathe. and I pulled the trigger on some Billet Specialties Street Lites for the front.
Welding looks decent, way better than what I can do with a TIG.
