SLC Build (Orange Monster)
I've thought about the Racelogic TC, I'll have to see how it feels when I am done. I'm pretty sure 500hp with only 2300-2400lbs to push might call for some type of TC.
I have an L99 engine. It's essentially and LS3 with VVT. I'm unsure of what wiring harness to get. I assume that a 2010 Camaro SS Automatic would do the trick. As it is the 6.2 with VVT.
I want to keep the VVT, as it allows you to run a slightly more aggressive cam and keep your low end. The ECU I currently have is out of an Escalade, which it too uses either the L92 or L99. I can flash it to upgrade the injectors.
Was there ever an L99 with a manual transmission made?
Anyone have any suggestions on the best engine wiring harness to use?
The L99 is an engine produced by General Motors for use in high-performance vehicles. Part of GM’s 4th-generation V8 Small Block engine family, the engine has a displacement of 6.2 liters and features eight cylinders in a “V” layout. The L99 is a variant of the popular LS3 V8 but is FlexFuel capable and features Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation), while the LS3 doesn’t have either of those features. The L99 is assembled at GM’s facilities in St. Catharines, Ontario and is solely used on the 5th-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS with the automatic transmission; meanwhile, Camaro SS equipped with the six-speed manual transmission are powered by the LS3.
