Default 1970 c10 awd

This is my dad's project that he started back in 2010. He got so busy at work, the C10 was put on the back burner. Work's finally slowing down for him so we're started back up on it this weekend.
Some details: It started as a 4wd 1970 C10 and a rolled 07 Trailblazer SS. His intention was to adapt the TBSS AWD to the C10, but after some measurements, he found out the frames were really close. So the project became a fully body swap. The entire chassis is the TBSS. The C10 cab even has the trailblazer floor pan now.dum

Here's a link to some info on the engine.https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...901bhp.htmldum
The short version is its a Virginia Speed blown 427 LS2. It made 901hp on the engine dyno. The tranny is a 4L80. My uncle fabbed up a custom exhaust using corvette bi-modal mufflers (looks awesome)

My dad's ultimate goal is for the truck to look like a nice sleeper. It'll be painted two tone green with a white top. The work so far has come out terrific.

Wow, this is really cool. Looks like most of the hard part is done. Now onto the fun stuff! I'm amazed how well all of that fit in there. The wheels are perfectly centered in the fender wells too.

Amazing build. Always loved the stepside trucks and want to build one with a LS someday. Adding the modern chassis makes this even cooler though, this will be a awesome truck when done.

That truck is going to be BADASS! I've always loved those trucks and having the newer chassis with that monster power plant is just crazy cool.

Just push it to the side and I'll come and get it out of your way, its been sitting around too long. That is a killer truck, I love it, one of the coolest builds I've seen. Good Luck! I may have to keep an eye open for a trailblazer ss.

Thanks for the kind words, my dad was appreciative of them. It had been stagnant for awhile, but between working on my ElCo and Nova, I think it relit a fire under his butt. Plus now he actually has some time. The full exhaust is bolted up and now the goal is to get the trans cooler, power steering cooler, intercooler, intercooler pump/resovoir, and computer/fuse block all mounted up.

Was the wheelbase correct? I am planning on doing something similar, but with a 2000+ tahoe/yukon 4x4 frame and suspension because the wheelbase is almost perfect.

Also, where did you get the 4l80e to tbss transfer case adapter? When I had my tbss I know they were pretty pricy still.

No matter what, the truck is amazing!

Thanks!

The TBSS frame was lengthened 2 inches to match the wheelbase of the C10. In regards to the transfer case adapter, he can't remember who it's from, but does remember it was pricey. It was purchased 4 years ago or so.

Here's a couple pics of the Kooks headers and the rest of the exhaust. No clearance issues!

Very Cool build. Looks like the body swap was straight forward since you used the TBSS floor pan.
