self tuning efi

when doing a swap has anyone used the FAST LS conversion self tuning kit? http://www.fuelairspark.com/fas/efi-...l-pack-engines

if so what are pros and cons...im swapping lq9 into a 81 firebird.

Also, I am new to the efi world with all my experience in sbc carb engines. any input on buildinga budget lq9 would be highly appreciated.

The holley will learn but I ended up taking mine to a tuner anyway just to get off on the right foot. Probably not necessary.

The trick with the holley is to turn on the learn function and drive the car a little. Then transfer the data from the learn table over to the base fuel map. It's as easy as typing numbers into little boxes lol. After about 300 miles and 2 or 3 transfers the car will run like it was factory tuned. The downfall is you have to tune the idle yourself. I did a lot of reading before hand, but it it's really easy to do. Took me about 30 mins and idle was solid.

I'm in the process of trying to decide between the Holley and Fast 2.0 for a LS Engine as well.

It's a tough decision.
