Default 2000 S10 408/4l80/s475

This started off as my wifes(girlfriend at the time) truck. 2.2auto She bought it wrecked for 500$, me an my dad got it fixed back up and she drove it for a bit. Then it was our spare vehicle. I eventually couldnt stand it any longer and lowered it on some pro stars laying around. Bedsides are pulled 2" per side(you tube "Pulling Bedsides With Metul Munky & Dr. Jones ") i get asked alot so i figure id post it now

5/6ish drop, pushed leaf spring mounts up into the frame rails, sliders, home made cal tracs, sway bar. Kept the 408 out of the luv, gonna run a 4l80. Not very far along right now. re routing some wiring and made a log for the driver side and modified a truck manifold for the pass. side.

It was my beater work truck up until i pulled the motor, i miss driving this thing.

Copying and pasting pics i had in another thread into this one so it may look funky lol

Bought an 80e yesterday. Cut up the stock crossmember and got it mounted. I might add a gusset to the left side of the plate that the trans mount bolts to, and going to weld up the two slots you can see the back side of the plate at.

No real new progress. Pulled motor out to finish up the engine crossmember and ac notch. Also boxed in the ac box where i had to notch it a little bit. Welded in a fitting for the turbo drain in the oil pan.

Built the downpipe. Reduces to 4" right at the turbo. Might make it two piece. It's tight getting it in and out. Clears everything. Gonna cut the inner fender tab off. Just bent it over for now.

Nice work! I like how the hotside turned out. Is the downpipe going to clear the tire ok?

And what rear end are you planning on using?

Tire touches the downpipe as it touches the firewall with the suspension compressed. I pulled the springs to set it up. Going to extend the steering stops a little because before he tires rubbed the inner fenders at full lock. Not sure how much inner fender I can salvage with the downpipe though lol. And I plan on using a 8.5" from a blazer
